Travis Penfield is Co-Founder and CEO of Alongside. His perspective is shaped by building and scaling an advisory firm without the benefit of a true partner platform—an experience that led him to help create Alongside as a more aligned model for independent advisors. Travis is driven by a long-term commitment to solving three persistent gaps in the industry: the age gap, the independence gap, and the services gap. He is known for developing strong leaders, durable systems, and cultures rooted in collaboration and stewardship. Travis lives in Austin with his wife Jaclyn, their three daughters, and their goldendoodle, Duncan.

Luke Winskowski is Co-Founder and President of Alongside, where he oversees strategy, growth initiatives, and the advisor experience. With more than two decades of experience across independent advisory firms and large financial organizations, Luke brings a deep understanding of how firms evolve as they mature. He is recognized for turning complex challenges into practical, scalable solutions. Luke lives in Minneapolis with his wife Ann Marie and their three children and enjoys traveling as a family and serving organizations that strengthen communities.

Dan Wanous leads business development and partner growth at Alongside, working closely with advisory firms as they explore partnership and scale their businesses within the community. He brings more than a decade of experience across business development, corporate strategy, field consulting, and investment operations, helping firms think clearly about growth and long-term positioning. Dan holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Sara. Outside of work, he’s usually riding a bike, reading a great book, or planning his next trip abroad.

Based in Houston with her husband and two sons, she is also passionate about mentoring young women in leadership and advancing financial literacy initiatives.
